AIMBE Elects 2021 Fellows

Congratulations to Bioengineering colleagues Drew Endy, Associate Professor of Bioengineering, and Fan Yang, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Orthopaedic Surgery and Bioengineering, who were elected into the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) College of Fellows. 

Drew Endy was elected for pioneering contributions to synthetic biology, and for advancing biological engineering openly to benefit all people and the planet. 

Fan Yang was elected for outstanding contributions to biomaterials science and engineering for tissue regeneration and cancer biology applications. 

The College of Fellows is comprised of the top two percent of medical and biological engineers in the country, with the selection process including peer-nomination, peer-review, and peer-election. Fellows have made significant contributions to the medical and biological engineering community in academia, industry, government, and education that have transformed the world.
