To fill or create a regular staff position, Stanford requires a formal search. To get the process started, contact Staff Administrator Marlys Lesene.

The department staffing administrator will work with the hiring manager and the human resources team at the School of Engineering to confirm funding, create or update a position summary and post the open position. Before filling the position, a full search is required which includes interviewing top applicants, checking references and completing a background check. In some rare cases in which the position calls for unique expertise, we may request a search waiver.

Forms for New Employees

The new employee must complete several forms and provide information upon hire.

Submit all the following forms to Marlys LeSene in Shriram 119.

Complete in Axess:

  • W-4 Tax Declaration
  • Payroll Direct Deposit
  • Intellectual Property Agreement (SU-18)

Complete on StanfordYou:

  • Check contact information for accuracy/completeness
  • Complete emergency contact information
