Three projects were awarded funding by the grant's
Oversight Committe for the 2008 grant cycle; two additional projects
received renewal funding. The total funding for the 2008 grant cycle
was $370,000. These projects range from efficient and safe methods
for nuclear reprogramming to a low cost ventilator for use in developing
nations and large scale disasters.
